Get your hands in the soil and leave inspired to grow your own superfoods!
Join Joe and Kat Longhany of Plant Prana Wellness for an inspiring and hands-on evening focused on the power of microgreens.
During this interactive workshop, you will:
• Plant your own 5x5 microgreen grow kit to take home
• Sample a variety of fresh microgreens
• Learn how to grow and care for microgreens successfully at home
• Discover the science-backed nutritional benefits that microgreens offer
Microgreens are young vegetables harvested at their peak of flavor and nutrient density. Research has shown that microgreens contain up to 40 times more nutrients than their mature counterparts. They are simple to grow, beautiful to use in everyday meals, and a powerful addition to a wellness-focused lifestyle.
Whether you are brand new to microgreens or looking to grow them more successfully at home, this experience will equip you with practical tools, confidence, and a deeper understanding of how microgreens can elevate your health and wellbeing.
About the presenters:
Joe and Kat Longhany are the founders of Plant Prana Wellness, a Central Florida microgreens farm dedicated to growing and sharing nutrient-dense food with the local community. You can find them each week at area farmers markets, where they offer fresh, living microgreens and connect directly with families who want healthier, more intentional food options.
Beyond the markets, Joseph and Kat lead hands-on workshops and educational programs that teach people how to grow their own microgreens at home as well as the power of plant-based nutrition. Their approach blends practical instruction with real-world experience, making the process simple, accessible, and empowering.
Joe is a former university writing professor of 18 years who now focuses on translating complex health and nutrition research into clear, usable knowledge. Kat brings powerful lived experience as an RN, and having reversed chronic kidney disease and debilitating arthritis through adopting a plant based lifestyle. Together, they are passionate about helping others take small, daily steps that lead to meaningful transformation.
