About Peace Day
Peace Day offers an array of free activities for all ages including live performances, yoga, tai chi, children’s storytelling and games, friendship bracelet making, bounce houses, a public art project, and of course, our annual Human Peace Sign photograph.
Daniel Tiger
This year special guest Daniel Tiger from the PBS KIDS show Daniel Tiger’s Neighborhood will join us to spread kindness, give hugs, and help kids explore feelings, friendship, and peace.
Resilience Zone
A special Resilience Zone will be added this year, highlighting the seven pillars of the Prescription for Healing and Wellbeing: mental health, movement and exercise, supportive relationships, connection with nature, mindfulness and contemplative practices, nutrition, and sleep.
When integrated, these pillars reflect PJI’s core belief that lasting change begins within—nurturing personal growth as the foundation for a Culture of Peace.
The Resilience Zone features a large shaded tent with free exercises such as
yoga practices from Warrior One Yoga and Lululemon, Tai Chi, and meditation from the Chopra Center Mind Body Zone.
