Awakening into Spring: Releasing stagnant energy and planting the seeds we will tend and grow in the season ahead.
As winter begins to soften and spring slowly takes hold, nature reminds us that growth often begins with release.
This guided somatic gathering is an invitation to gently clear stagnant energy, reconnect with your body, and plant intentions for the season ahead.
Together we will move through a supportive, trauma-informed experience designed to help you notice sensation, restore balance, and reconnect with your internal rhythms.
This session welcomes all bodies and all levels of experience. The focus is not on perfect movement or performance, but on awareness, sensation, and curiosity.
What We’ll Explore
We will begin by opening the space with a grounding ritual and land acknowledgment, honoring the people and ecosystems who have cared for this land before us.
Throughout the session, you will be guided through gentle somatic practices that support awareness and regulation of the nervous system.
These include:
• Gentle movement practices to help bring attention to different parts of the body and notice where energy may feel stuck or flowing
• Side-to-side body exploration to observe sensations and shifts without judgment
• Rest and integration (Shavasana) to allow the body to settle and absorb the experience
• Breathwork practices, including Bhramari (Bee Breath), which uses vibration to calm the nervous system and stimulate energetic movement
• Simple energy-releasing practices like shaking, grounding, and gentle movement
• Guided visualization and meditation to integrate what we’ve experienced and practice responding to activation with new tools
Participants will also have time for quiet reflection or journaling, with optional opportunities to share insights with the group.
What to Expect
This space is designed to be supportive, flexible, and participant-led.
You are always welcome to:
• take a break whenever you need
• modify or skip any movement
• choose shapes or positions that feel most supportive
• keep your camera on or off depending on your comfort level
• share or simply observe
The goal is not to “do it right,” but to notice what your body is communicating.
Closing the Space
We will close with a brief grounding ritual and gratitude practice, honoring the shared space we created together. Participants will also have the opportunity to learn about upcoming gatherings and ways to stay connected within the community.
Who This Is For
This session is for anyone who wants to:
• reconnect with their body
• release accumulated tension or stress
• explore somatic awareness practices
• create space for intention and renewal this spring
No prior experience with yoga, meditation, or somatic work is required.
Just bring curiosity and a willingness to listen to your body.
